Access your email & Teams

Once your device is enrolled and compliant (device guide), you can sign in to email and Teams.

Multi-factor authentication (first sign-in)

Everyone uses MFA. On your first sign-in you’ll be asked to set it up:

1. Install Microsoft Authenticator on your phone (from the App Store / Play Store).
2. When prompted during sign-in, choose to add an account and scan the QR code shown on screen.
3. Approve the test notification. From then on, sign-ins send a prompt to that app.

Email

• On your computer: open the Outlook app, or go to outlook.office.com, and sign in with your work account.
• On your phone: use the badged (work) Outlook in your work profile.

Teams

• On your computer: open the Teams app or go to teams.microsoft.com and sign in.
• On your phone: use the badged (work) Teams in your work profile.

“My device isn’t compliant”

If you see this right after enrolling, the device just hasn’t finished its first compliance check (and on Windows, disk encryption may still be finishing). Wait about 30 minutes and try again. If it persists past that, send your IT contact a screenshot.

Tip

Signing in from a personal, unmanaged computer will be blocked — that’s expected. Company data is only reachable from a managed, compliant device. Use your enrolled work computer or your phone’s work profile.
